Welcome to FBC Tyler’s webpage! We are thankful that something has piqued your interest in our church. You may be a member or regular attender checking out this redesigned site, our new to our church altogether. No matter your reason, we hope this site is helpful, even encouraging to you as you consider participating with us in any way: worship… Bible study… children, youth or family events, senior adult events, recreation ministry or ministries with whom we partner with.
Our church has existed for 170 years! While we have adapted our methods of ministry to better engage our ever-changing culture, the message that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord, and the only hope for every person on the planet, will never change!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
A church where every member is empowered by the Holy Spirit to be engaged in ministry and to fulfill their unique calling.
We value God’s Word: inspired, never failing, always effective; our standard for truth and obedience.
We value prayer:individual and corporate, from a heart of humility.
We value service:every member equipped for ministry.
We value hospitality:where all people are valued, and find community.
We value obedience:submitting to God’s authority.
We value generosity:investing in the Kingdom, freely and faithfully.
We value missions: sharing Christ with the nations, beginning in Tyler.
THE LORD JESUS TELLS HIS CHURCH TO:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
