I’m just a country girl at heart, raised in Fredericksburg, Texas. I’ve been married for more years than Ican count to my husband Buck – we give praise to God for a strong marriage and family! Our family offive consists of three children, 2 daughters and one son. My oldest daughter lives with her husband andmy first and only grandchild, Bradley Jack, in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Our middle daughter lives in Tyler andour son lives at home with us for now, working full time.

My first church position was receptionist and secretary to the youth pastor at a FBC in Fort Collins, CO.What an amazing town to live in! Mountains and rivers close by to enjoy camping, fishing and hunting(my husband loved elk hunting at 7,000 ft. elevation in the winter!) Rocky Mountain National Park justan hour away – vacation time could be enjoyed every weekend.

From Colorado we ventured to Maine to run a six room inn in Bethel for two years. We then returnedsouth to North Carolina, where I was employed at another Baptist Church and then later took an officemanager position at a Presbyterian Church. What a joy for me to work with such kind and wonderfulGod centered people! God is good!

Relaxing time might involve a good movie – one of my favorite, Man from Snowy River - who can denythat the scenery in this movie is just about perfect and shows how the main character was forced togrow into a man, facing life head on, through harsh life events. Curling up with a book on a quiet day(outdoors of course!) is my way of letting the stress of the week roll off – who doesn’t like Nora Roberts!Time spent outdoors enjoying the wonder of what God has made for us, is time to treasure.
