Pat Mallory

Minister of Ministries & Missions

 

Rev. Pat Mallory has been on staff for fifteen years, working as the Minister of Ministries and Missions for the last eleven years.  She accepted Christ as her Savior when she was twelve years of age, and surrendered her life for special service that same year under the pastorate of Rev. Jimmy Dolan.  Pat has served under seven pastors, Dr. Paul E. Powell, Rev. Jimmy Draper, Rev. Ed Boles, Dr. David Dykes, Dr. Michael Massar and Rev. Pike Wisner.  She has served in a leadership capacity for three churches:  Temple Baptist Church 1955-1968, Green Acres Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas 1968-1996, and at First Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas 1996-present.  Pat is experienced in Bible teaching, counseling, single adults, snior adults, pastoral care, motivational speaking, outreach evangelism, music (piano/organ/directing choirs), and children & students.  She was educated in Texas Schools, graduating high school from Aspermont High School in Aspermont, Texas, attended classes at both Texas Tech University in Lubbock and Baylor University in Waco. She is a licensed counselor associated with the American Association of Christian Counselors.  Pat is also a published author of six books. Pat is the widow of Tom Mallory.  She has three children and six grandchildren.  As Minister of Ministries and Missions, she works in cooperation with the full church staff in the areas of single adults, senior adults, rainbow class, women ministries, international ministries, pastoral care, counseling, budgeting and outreach.  Pat leads all mission endeavors at the local, state and foreign levels.  She works in cooperation with the Tyler Family Assistance Center, Christian Women’s Job Corp, Gateway to Hope Homeless Coalition, Meals on Wheels, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Carter Blood Center and serves on the Smith Baptist Association Advisory Committee, BGCT Mission Funding Committee and four boards.  She is an Emeritus Board Member for Bethesda Health Clinic, Past Chair of the PATH Board, and a Board Member for Andrews Angels and the Health Foundation.
