We started the day a little later than so everyone could catch up on some rest. It was a great day here in the Big Apple, but we had one minor foul up. As we approached the location for the Bamn Automat (a place to eat), it was not to be found. Now, I had done all of the research via internet and was really excited about eating there (if you are interested, just Google AUTOMAT). Some of the locals said it hadn’t been there for two or three years so why is the website still in operation??? Anyhow, there were several options there for dining so we made lemonade out of the lemons.
After lunch, we made our way to the departure point for the Gray Line Tour. Because of the size of our group, we had to split in two. We all took the Downtown Loop, seeing lots of neat buildings, landmarks and other places of interest. Because the rush hour traffic was getting heavy, we left the bus at Rockefeller Center and walked past Radio City Music Hall back towards Times Square. As we got there, we split into smaller groups doing a little shopping and personalized sightseeing. We all met at the famous Broadway marquee McDonalds for supper then walked a few feet down the block for Mary Poppins. All I can say is that the show was phenomenal! The movie will forever pale in comparison to this show. The production was absolutely amazing and everyone had a really good time.
Now, we are resting, or I’m about to because I am finishing this post and going to bed. Good night and thank you for your support!
Blessings,
