June 19, 2009

It’s very late right now, so this will be brief! We had a great day, starting off with the Uptown Loop of the Gray Line Tour. We split into two groups like Wednesday. Some when to the Museum of Natural History (for an all too short stay) and some of us when to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and lunch at the restaurant made famous in the Seinfeld show. It was pretty tasty!

After the tour, we made our way back to Park Slope Community Church in Brooklyn. While there we all did some little chores around the church, the puppets set up on the street and still others went out into the neighborhood to invite people to the cook out. There was another choir there from Richmond, Virginia, who was here touring this week too! After our cookout, we had a concert where we sang for 30 minutes and the other choir did as well. There was one song that we sang together. You will hear it Sunday night. After an hour long train ride back to the hotel, we gathered for our annual share time and communion. It was long, but well worth the time invested.

Church family, only when we get to heaven will we realize the dividends your generous support will pay. But, I think God has used this week to open the minds and hearts of all of us. I am excited to see what He will do with us in the future. One of our students is answering a call in their life. I am anxious to hear this student share with us all just what that is. You will be excited!

Time to pack and get to bed. Tomorrow is already here…

Blessings,
