“The Single, But Not Alone, Ministry “of First Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas, adheres to the truth that all Adults are Single in their relationship to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 
 
We accept or reject Him, serve or ignore Him, follow or flee Him, pray to or curse Him on an individual basis. Some Single Adults are married, some are divorced, some have never married and some are widows or widowers. The relationship that matters to God is our relationship to Him. Here at First Baptist Church we are here to help you in your relationship to Jesus Christ and to others. Our programs and activities are designed to bring spiritual growth and healthy relationships with others into every Single Adults’ life.
 
The world tends to judge on the basis of marital status to some extent…in other words if you are married you are “normal”, “happy” and etc. If you are never married, then there must be something wrong with you. If you are divorced, you must have done something wrong and if your spouse has died, well…bless your little heart, your life is over.
 
None of the above statements reflects the teachings in God’s word. Everyone is a part of His plan and useful to His kingdom. You are a child of the King of Kings, He has made over 6000 promises to you and you need to live your life to the fullest! That’s what God wants for you and we are here to be your famiy and support you as you find your place in His Kingdom.
