Day 5

We started the day by sleeping in until 9:00.  Man, was that great!  We loaded up and headed to Gulfport where we spent some time at the "The Yellow Mall", which is the Prime Outlet Mall.  The nickname came from  Jonathan and Nicki when they were little.  The mall is painted yellow...

Sadly, we put Maggie and Annie Mercer on a plane with their Dad and Kerry Bickerstaff to return to Tyler for the funeral of Craig's sister.  We miss you Marge and Annie and are praying for your family.  While taking the girls to the airport they helped me buy some Krispy Kreme donuts for the group, and we managed to get a dozen on the plane with them.

Our afternoon concert went really well.  The kids really are singing well this year.  Again, at the risk of repeating myself, you will not want to miss the home concert.  In fact, 6th graders will want to come as they will definitely want to be a part of this group next year!

Our evening concert was, perhaps, our best yet.  Grace Memorial Baptist Church hosted us really well and I am grateful for my long time friend in the ministry, Anthony Turner for  taking such good places.  You pray for this congregation as they continue to recover from the losses suffered after Hurricane Katrina.

This evening, the kids have \had some much needed down time.  They are really looking forward to the fun we have planned for tomorrow.  So am I.

Blessings to you all!
