Administrative Pastor
I serve as the Administrative Pastor here at First Baptist Church Tyler. I oversee the daily operations of the church both financially and from a facilities standpoint. My goal is to make sure every ministry within First Baptist Church has the tools and resources needed to share the gospel as effectively as possible. I also help monitor special projects and renovations that enhance ministry opportunities for both our members and staff.
I came to faith in Jesus when I was seven years old, during the Lord’s Supper, when I realized that Jesus died for the wrong I had done and would do. That moment made His story of redemption real for me and showed me the hope He offers through mercy, grace, peace, and love.
I was born in Corsicana, Texas, and moved to Tyler when my dad was transferred for work in 1970. My connection to First Baptist Church began when my older brothers invited me to play softball with them while I was in high school, and this church has loved me and my family ever since.
My wife, Michelle, and I have been married for 37 years. She has been my greatest supporter and voice of reason. We have three wonderful children, our twins Heath and Hannah, and our youngest, Dalton, as well as three beautiful grandchildren, Paisley, Beckham, and Poppy.
I love playing golf, hunting, and spending time with our kids and grandkids.
I am thankful for what God is already doing here and pray that we continue to stay in step with Him, serving as an outpost of hope for those who are seeking something only He can provide.
