Administrative Assistant to Music & Worship
Hi, I’m Lisa McClure, and I serve as the Administrative Assistant to Music and Worship here at First Baptist Church Tyler. I assist Connan with a variety of details that help our music ministry run smoothly, including organizing choir music and seating, updating our choir website, sending weekly newsletters, coordinating with instrumentalists, and scheduling our Audio and Visual Media Team for Sunday mornings. I also help plan special events like Adult Choir Composer Weekend, Student Choir Tour, and our Christmas Eve services. And yes, one of my favorite responsibilities is setting up the coffee bar each Sunday morning.
I came to know the Lord when I was six years old while sitting in our living room with my mom as she read Scripture and helped me understand what it meant to invite Jesus into my heart. I was born and raised in Tyler, and my family joined First Baptist Church in December of 1988. I have now been a member for almost 37 years and have had the privilege of serving on staff for the past 10 years.
My husband, David, and I have been married for 35 years and have two daughters, Ashlee and Annika, who bring us so much joy. In my free time,
I enjoy being creative, working puzzles, and snacking on French fries and pickles.
My hope is to see God continue to bless First Baptist Church and its people as we grow together in faith and ministry.
