Casey Cockrell
Minister of Discipleship
I serve as the Minister of Discipleship here at First Baptist Church Tyler. My role is to lead our Education Team in creating discipleship opportunities for people of all ages and stages of life within our congregation.
I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at youth camp when I was eleven years old, and since then, I’ve had a deep desire to help others grow in their relationship with Him.
The Lord called my family and me to serve at First Baptist Church in 2012, where I originally began as the Minister of Students.
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Tasha, for 20 years, and we have two amazing daughters, Claire and Kate. I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, and watching sports, especially when there’s cobbler involved.
My hope is to see God glorified as we live, teach, and tell the Gospel so that all may encounter the living God.
