Student Ministry Intern
I serve as the Student Ministry Intern here at First Baptist Church Tyler. I help support our youth pastor in leading and discipling middle and high school students through services, small groups, and events. I love helping plan activities, build relationships with students, and create a space where they can grow in their faith.
During the pandemic, I started seeing videos about God on social media, and through those messages, I heard the Gospel again and again until I realized my need for a Savior. Not long after, I began attending my uncle’s church, where I responded to an altar call and gave my life to Christ.
I was born and raised right here in Tyler and have lived here my whole life. While I was involved in the Baptist Student Ministry at Tyler Junior College, the director told me about the opportunity to serve at First Baptist Church, and I believe God opened that door as an answer to prayer as I was seeking His direction for ministry.
I love playing soccer, pickleball, volleyball, and going hiking. My favorite food is a Chipotle chicken bowl, and I usually order an iced caramel macchiato when I need a coffee fix. I have four amazing siblings, Casey, Sidney, Lindsey, and Abdiel.
My hope for First Baptist Church is that we continue to be a place where humility, patience, and love are shown not only within our church family but also in how we serve and care for our community.
