Student Ministry Intern
I serve as a Student Ministry Intern here at First Baptist Church Tyler. I help the Minister of Students with planning and leading activities, discipling youth, and encouraging students to grow in their relationship with Christ. I love walking alongside our students, supporting them at events, and helping them discover how to live out their faith every day.
My journey with Jesus began when a loving, obedient community poured into my life and showed me compassion the way God sees us. My nana shared her testimony and the gospel with me, and later a friend from the Baptist Student Ministry helped me learn how to live out my faith and develop a heart for missions.
I was born in Katy, Texas, and came to Tyler to attend UT Tyler after praying that God would send me where my faith could grow the most. I got involved with the Baptist Student Ministry and soon found my church home at First Baptist Church after a friend invited me to visit. The people here were so welcoming, and I quickly saw how deeply this church loves the Lord and strives to glorify Him in all things.
I enjoy pickleball, card games, and spending time in fellowship with my community. My favorite food is tacos, especially anything from Crema, and I love a good chai from there too.
My prayer is that God uses me to encourage and disciple students, helping them grow in faith and learn to share that faith with their friends.
