Minister to Students
I serve as the Student Minister here at First Baptist Church Tyler. I am called to shepherd and disciple the students who are part of our church, helping them grow spiritually and walk closely with Christ each day. My role also includes encouraging and equipping students to live out their faith and reaching beyond our church walls to connect with students who need to hear the hope of the gospel.
I came to faith when I was six years old after hearing the gospel at Royal Ambassadors and talking with my parents that night. It was then that I truly understood that Jesus loves me and is my Lord and Savior.
I was born in New Orleans and moved several times growing up before my family eventually landed in Tyler when I was in fifth grade. After college at Louisiana Tech and serving at a church in Calhoun, Louisiana, the Lord led me back to Tyler once again.
I love spending time with my wife, Jordy, going on adventures together, being outdoors, playing disc golf, pickleball, or backyard games with family and friends, and watching pretty much any sport I can find. Crawfish is my favorite food, and my go to coffee is a black cold brew. I am also a proud Phineas and Ferb fan.
My hope for First Baptist Church is that God will continue drawing students to Himself and working through their lives in ways that only He can, all for His glory.
